Changelog
Segmind Release Notes (August 3–9, 2026)
Segmind updates for August 3 to 9, 2026: Sonilo audio models, the FLUX 3 video family with draft enhance, Seedance 2.5 and new video controls, magic-link sign-in for everyone, Bundles, and a more persistent playground.
1. New Audio Models — Sonilo
- What's new: Three Sonilo audio models are live on the API: video-to-audio, text-to-audio, and video-to-video. They are billed per second of output, with rates from $0.0028 to $0.0225 per second depending on the model and sound type, and they are available through the API, the SDK, Pixelplay, and Pixelflow.
- Impact: Generate soundtracks and sound effects for your videos, or audio from a text prompt, without leaving Segmind — and pay only for the seconds you actually generate.
- Released: August 3–4, 2026
2. FLUX 3 Video Models and Draft Enhance
- What's new: The FLUX 3 family is onboarded with four modality slugs — text-to-video, image-to-video, video-to-video, and draft. Drafts generated asynchronously can be enhanced through the
/v2API, which returns adraft_cache_urlenvelope, and the playground picks up a draft from a?draft_cache=parameter so you can enhance it there too. - Impact: Preview a cheap draft first, then enhance only the takes worth finishing — from the API or the playground.
- Released: August 6–8, 2026
3. Seedance 2.5, Plus New Video Controls
- What's new:
seedance-2.5is live on the API alongside the existing Seedance 2.0 slugs, with pricing listed on the pricing tab ($10.97/M text-image input tokens, $6.56/M video input tokens).seedance-2.5andseedance-2.0-minialso acceptduration: -1, default an omitted aspect ratio toadaptive, and can return.movoutput. - Impact: Run Seedance 2.5 through the same endpoints you already use, and drive video-editing tasks such as element replacement and clip extension that previously weren't reachable through the API.
- Released: August 7–9, 2026
4. More Models and Model Options
- What's new:
qwen-3.8-max(Alibaba Qwen3.8 Max) is available atPOST /v1/qwen-3.8-max.grok-imagine-video-1.5is now split into three explicit slugs — text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-to-video — that match the inputs each mode actually accepts.minimax-h3adds a 768p resolution tier across all three of its slugs, with the default unchanged at 2K, so existing calls are unaffected. Thepixverse-*-transitionslugs are working again end to end, including first-frame/last-frame generation. - Impact: More models to call, clearer slugs that tell you up front what inputs a mode takes, and a lower-resolution MiniMax tier when you don't need 2K.
- Released: August 4–6, 2026
5. Sign In With a Magic Link — Now Open to Everyone
- What's new: Email magic-link login is available to all users; the previous whitelist and the "whitelisted emails only" notice are gone. The login flow also shows the specific reason when a link can't be sent, such as an invalid address or a rate limit.
- Impact: Sign in with just your email address, without a password or a wait for access.
- Released: August 6, 2026
6. Bundles — Curated Workflow Collections
- What's new: Partners and admins can group Pixelflow workflows into Bundles with their own public landing page at
segmind.com/bundles/{slug}, reachable from site navigation. Partners can also publish Pixelflow templates directly and edit the ones they authored, with no approval step. The bundle editor scopes to a partner's own published workflows, and workflow publish, API, and share routes enforce owner-only access. - Impact: Package a set of related workflows as a shareable, linkable collection, and publish your own templates on your own schedule.
- Released: August 5–9, 2026
7. Playground and Pixelflow Improvements
- What's new: The playground now keeps your full session — form inputs, parameters, output, and the "this session" strip — across navigation between History and Playground and across hard reloads. The download chip is always visible rather than appearing on hover, expanded prompts cap at ten lines, and the interface toggle preserves your parameters and prompt. In Pixelflow, parameter descriptions moved behind a
(?), dropzones are shorter, there's a fan-out popover and model ranking, the editor handles connections from un-run nodes cleanly (repairing affected graphs automatically), and the Share button now emails the recipient a working link. - Impact: Come back to a generation exactly as you left it, and build in Pixelflow with less clutter and fewer interruptions.
- Released: August 3–9, 2026
8. Billing, Credits, and Clearer Errors
- What's new: Failed generations are never charged — request records always reach a terminal state and billed failures are never replayed. Auto-recharge now uses Stripe PaymentIntent with 3D Secure for SCA-compliant card capture, reuses a single Stripe customer per account, shows an accurate setup status, and disables the retry button while a charge is in flight. Credit balances for accounts returning after a period of inactivity are restored from the source of record rather than starting from zero. Errors originating with upstream providers are translated into clear, consistent Segmind error responses, with transient faults marked retryable.
- Impact: Pay only for generations that succeed, set up auto-recharge with a card that passes European SCA checks, and get an actionable error message when something upstream goes wrong.
- Released: August 4–8, 2026
9. Terms and Privacy Policy, Restructured
- What's new: The Master Cloud Services Agreement at
/termsand the policy at/privacyhave been restructured so they are navigable, citable by clause number, and printable. The wording is unchanged word for word. - Impact: Point your legal or procurement team at a specific clause instead of a wall of text.
- Released: August 5, 2026
