Segmind Release Notes (June 29–July 5, 2026)

1. gemini-omni-flash — New Text/Image-to-Video Model

  • What's new: gemini-omni-flash (gemini-omni-flash) is now live — Google's any-to-any model for generating short video from a text prompt or an image. It returns inline H.264 clips at 720p/24fps (around 5 seconds) and is token-billed.
  • Impact: Turn a prompt or a starting image into a short 720p video clip directly through the API, paying by tokens.
  • Released: July 1, 2026

2. nano-banana-2-lite — New Image Model

  • What's new: nano-banana-2-lite (nano-banana-2-lite) is now available — a lighter companion to nano-banana-2 that mirrors its capabilities: output up to 4K, built-in web search, and up to 14 reference images.
  • Impact: Get nano-banana-2's feature set — high-resolution output, web search, and multi-reference input — from a lighter-weight model option.
  • Released: July 1, 2026

3. Expanded Gemini Video & Media Support

  • What's new: Gemini models on Segmind now accept much larger video and media inputs — well beyond the previous upload limit — and pass YouTube URLs straight through to the model. Long videos, up to roughly 3 hours, are now supported, with video sampling tuned automatically to stay within limits. The LLM chat playground now forwards video and PDF attachments (not just images), and PixelFlow's File→Gemini node now sends video input to the model.
  • Impact: Send long-form and large video, PDF, and media inputs — including YouTube links — to Gemini from the API, the chat playground, and PixelFlow, and have them reliably analyzed.
  • Released: July 4–5, 2026

4. p-image-upscale — Full Parameter Control

  • What's new: The p-image-upscale model (p-image-upscale) now exposes its full parameter set, including target resolution in megapixels, output format, and output quality.
  • Impact: Control the resolution and encoding of upscaled images directly, instead of only supplying the input image.
  • Released: July 1, 2026

5. Platform & UI Improvements

  • What's new: Partner model pages — such as Black Forest Labs — now list all of a partner's available models instead of showing an empty state. A new Support page routes you to the right channel by issue type (Discord for technical questions, email for billing), with a Discord link added to the site footer. Reference-to-video requests on wan2.7 now process more reliably.
  • Impact: Browse every model from a given partner in one place, reach the right support channel faster, and get more consistent results from wan2.7 reference-to-video.
  • Released: June 30–July 1, 2026
