Segmind Release Notes (June 22–28, 2026)

1. HappyHorse 1.1 — New Video Model

  • What's new: HappyHorse 1.1 (happyhorse-1.1) is now live. It automatically detects text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-to-video generation from your request payload. HappyHorse 1.0 (happyhorse) is unchanged and keeps working exactly as before.
  • Impact: Generate video from a text prompt, a starting image, or a reference video using a single model that picks the right mode from your inputs.
  • Released: June 24, 2026

2. Seedance 2.0 Mini — A More Affordable Video Model

  • What's new: Seedance 2.0 Mini (seedance-2.0-mini) is now live on platform.segmind.com. It supports text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-guided generation at 480p and 720p, and is a more cost-efficient option than Seedance 2.0.
  • Impact: Produce Seedance-style video at a lower cost — a strong fit for higher-volume or budget-conscious workloads.
  • Released: June 25, 2026

3. Virtual Try-On — New p-image-try-on Model

  • What's new: A new virtual try-on model (p-image-try-on) is available via the API. Provide a person image plus up to 11 garment images in a single request.
  • Impact: Generate on-model try-on imagery — dress a person in one or several garments — directly through the API.
  • Released: June 28, 2026

4. API & Developer Experience

  • What's new: Two improvements for API users. First, v2 asynchronous inference responses now include a metrics block on the status and result endpoints, reporting cost, remaining_credits, queue_time, total_time, and retry_count — an additive change with no breaking impact. Second, when a generation is blocked by content-safety filters, the API now returns a consistent, structured error response across supported models and automatically refunds the request.
  • Impact: Track exactly what each async request cost, how long it queued and ran, and how many credits remain — without a separate lookup. And trust that a filtered request fails clearly and is refunded, rather than being silently charged.
  • Released: June 25–26, 2026

5. Faster Playground — Run Generations in Parallel

  • What's new: The Playground now runs up to 3 generations at once, with clear in-progress feedback on the Generate button and protection against accidental double-submits. When you reach the limit, a 3/3 generating… indicator and tooltip explain the wait instead of a silently disabled button.
  • Impact: Kick off several generations side by side and always see what's happening — no more guessing whether a click registered or why the button is unavailable.
  • Released: June 24, 2026

6. PixelFlow Editor Improvements

  • What's new: Several refinements landed in the PixelFlow editor on platform.segmind.com: template autocomplete now inserts reliably and handles edits made over a selection, pinned nodes show a clear ring and badge so their state reads at a glance, and a node now warns you when an upstream step could feed in an invalid asset reference.
  • Impact: Build and edit PixelFlow workflows with fewer surprises — cleaner template editing, clearer node state, and earlier warnings before a misconfiguration causes a bad run.
  • Released: June 23–26, 2026

7. Platform Reliability Improvements

  • What's new: Generated images and videos now save to your Generations page more reliably, FLUX Schnell and Fast FLUX Schnell automatically retry transient errors and return cleaner messages, and long-running Grok Imagine video jobs no longer time out prematurely.
  • Impact: More of your generations land where you expect them, with fewer transient failures on high-volume image models and no premature timeouts on longer video jobs.
  • Released: June 23–28, 2026

8. Creator Program Is Live

  • What's new: The new Segmind Creator Program is live, with a dedicated application page at segmind.com/creator-program.
  • Impact: Creators can now apply to join the program directly from the website.
  • Released: June 27, 2026
